Owen Sound Trails - # 29

Owen Sound

Varied:  hard-packed, asphalt, interlocking brick

Uses: Walking/hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing 

The harbour walkway,~3 km one way, is sufficiently wide for walkers and cyclists. It follows the harbour from Kelso Beach on the west to past the Community Centre on the east. Other hard-packed natural paths are in Harrison Park and along the Sydenham River. Various bicycle routes throughout the city are either asphalt paths or follow less well-travelled roads.

Access: The Harbour walkway is accessible from the Visitor Information Centre or at a number of points on the east side of the harbour, where parking is also available. The other paths are accessible from a variety of locations.
