Durham

Riverview Trail, Durham Conservation Area - # 35

Durham

Length: 4 km loops
Difficulty: Easy
Surface: Hard-packed, gravel, grass

Uses: Walking/hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing 

The Riverview Trail begins along the Saugeen River near the first settlement at the Upper Dam. It leads past rock boulders, a 6 metre limestone bluff and through a quiet cedar forest. McGowan Falls Gorge is a wonderful stop along this scenic part of the Saugeen River. The trail is not groomed in the winter.

Access: The trail is accessible at the Durham Conservation Area off Hwy 6,  2 kms north of the Town of Durham.
